David Fredericks, Recovery Champion

David came to Hope House after years of jail and addiction, feeling lost and broken. Today, he has a wife who loves him, a job where he’s valued, and his family back. “My life today is beautiful,” David says. His transformation shows what’s possible with Hope House’s free, long-term recovery program and a strong sense of faith.

Natalie Kirkman, Widow Honoring Late Husband

For decades, Natalie watched her husband Tony battle alcoholism. When he came to Hope House, she saw something different—he became part of a family. “It was like he had become a family with the guys,” Natalie remembers. Tony found sobriety and reconnected with his children and grandchildren. Though Tony has since passed, Natalie is thankful that the program gave them five precious years of sobriety.

Aaron Stevens, Richmond Police Officer

Richmond Police Officer Aaron Stevens has spent nearly 40 years responding to the same crisis calls, seeing the same faces trapped in addiction. But he’s also witnessed Hope House transform lives. “It’s more than just the needs of one individual,” Aaron explains. “Collectively, as a community, we have got to foster the efforts in the mission of the Hope House in order to save one soul, save a community.”
